If you had a look at any of the recent previous food posts you really do not need to read any further but if you didn’t read the previous days then you might want to find out why I have posted some boring looking food shots……
I had surgery and stuck at home leading up to my forty-ninth birthday. I’ve decided that I want to do something challenging for my fiftieth birthday and know that I need to look at my diet before I even contemplate the training that will be required for me to get anywhere near what I’d like to do. (I’ll keep that for myself at the moment).
So, this is just going to be a food diary over the next week, snapped on the phone.
I suspect it will be worse than I would normally admit to and I suspect any nutritionist would be shocked.
As someone dragged up in east London there was a time that I would never, never, never have gravy with cod ‘n’ chips. That all changed many years ago in my late teens with a quick trip up north for a gig and a visit to a chippy. If you’ve never tried it, go for it!
Gravy on fish and chips? NEVER! Sacrilege.
I had a pork chop tonight, with red cabbage, asparagus, and potatoes. I didn’t even have gravy on that. I like my food to be above the waterline. 🙂
Cheers mate, Pete.
I think it was a Harry Ramsden’s on the way to a gig up north that changed my opinion.
