mansoustine. something new

Trying something new.

I’m kind of set in my ways but at the same time I do like to learn and try new things.

I don’t particularly like change. Especially when changes are made for changes sake. That said, I recognise that change is sometimes necessary and should be embraced.

I am not an unhealthy person but like many people, I do not eat anywhere near the amount of fruit and vegetables recommended by The World Health Organization.

So I decided I am going to have a fruity february!

I visited a local shop and made a conscious decision that I should be trying something new as my fruity february.

Some of the fruits I have tasted as part of flavouring in drinks but I have never eaten any of them on their own, in their natural state.

I’ve not done anything fancy with the image. It is taken in natural light and not taken with any particular goal in mind. I wasn’t practising framing/composition or exposure. My camera was to hand and I just naturally picked it up and took a few shots.

I like that picking up the camera felt like the natural thing to do. I also like the image, not for any particular reason, I just do. So I thought I’d add it to my photo diary. Because I like it and it is my first photo taken instinctively since taking an interest in photography.

If anyone is interested in the fruits, they are: Asian pear, Papaya, Mango, Pomegranate, Blood orange, Dragon fruit, Jamarillo, Rambuton, Gramadillo, Lychee, Custard apple, Kiwi, Passion fruit, Sharon fruit and mansoustine.

(I also bought extra toilet paper!).

I’m having a fruity february and trying something new. How about you?
